Imagine Nation – Interactive Kids Area

The Art of Being a Kid: Imagine That!
Imagine Nation

Imagine Nation is the family area of the Scottsdale Arts Festival. Located on the north side of City Hall, this space features a variety of sights, sounds and hands-on art activities and entertainment to engage the imaginations of children and their families. Imagine Nation is open throughout regular Festival hours and is free with Festival admission.

Exploring the theme of “The Art of Being a Kid” this year, Imagine Nation offers participants of all ages the opportunity to connect with their inner child. On the brick path called The Kid’s Way, a comic actor interacts with visitors. At the Imagination Stations, volunteers from several community groups offer a variety of entertaining art projects, including wearable paper hats.

Imagine NationTentatively scheduled participating community groups are: Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, Scottsdale Public Art, Boys and Girls Clubs of Scottsdale, PeaceKids, Keep Scottsdale Beautiful and Free Arts of Arizona. Friday is recommended as a wonderful day for children’s groups, school groups and for children and families with disabilities. On Saturday and Sunday, Dance Theater West performs and invites family members to join in the fun.

Imagine Nation is made possible through the support of volunteers from Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, Scottsdale Public Art, PeaceKids, Boys and Girls Clubs of Scottsdale, Scottsdale Pride Commission and Free Arts of Arizona.
