About the Event

Compton & Bennett are the same wackos who brought you Assisted Living: The Musical®. Their newest is One Stooge Shy, a neo-vaudevillian romp. They skewer TikTok, trophy wives, and HOAs. There’s a TV lawyer who sues rude theatre patrons and a pilot who is Boeing, Boeing, gone. This is American satire practiced by pros in song, sketch, and assorted antics.  

One piano, 90-minutes, and two people—who are just One Stooge Shy of a comedy classic—provide an evening of laughter you are sure to post about.

About Compton & Bennett 

Rick Compton and Betsy Bennett are authors Compton & Bennett. They have been writing, producing, and performing original musical comedy shows since 1995. Perhaps best known for their Assisted Living: The Musical® shows, they tour nationally, and their shows have been licensed and produced by dozens of troupes.  

About Betsy Bennett 

Bennett is a life-long theatre denizen, having appeared in more than 100 productions independent of Compton & Bennett. She started professionally in summer stock at age 15. She earned a theatre degree from Albion College and followed that with an internship at Playwrights Horizons in New York City. Bennett is a life member of The Dramatists Guild.  

About Rick Compton  

Compton leads the creative life, except for a few long years in the corporate world in the 1980s. He founded Via Colori®, a small chain of annual street painting festivals, toured Japan as keyboardist for The Platters, and authored The Essential Street Painter (Simon & Schuster), a children’s activity book. He has served as musical director and played in pit orchestras in dozens of shows independent of Compton & Bennett. Compton is a life member of The Dramatists Guild.
