About the Event
An iconic Motown sensation, renowned for timeless hits and unparalleled vocal harmonies, The Miracles have a decades-spanning repertoire of unforgettable songs.
Founded in the heart of Detroit in the late 1950s, The Miracles (also known as Smokey Robinson and the Miracles from 1965 to 1972) quickly rose to prominence under the guidance of legendary record producer Berry Gordy Jr. with classics like “Shop Around,” “The Tracks of My Tears,” and “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me,” The Miracles became synonymous with the Motown sound, influencing generations of artists and leaving an indelible mark on music history.
Referred to as Motown’s “soul supergroup,” The Miracles recorded more than fifty chart hits, including twenty-six Top 40 pop hits (sixteen of which reached the Billboard Top 20), seven Top 10 singles, and a No. 1 single with “The Tears of a Clown.” After Smokey Robinson left the group, The Miracles continued to score two more Top 20 singles, “Do It Baby” and “Love Machine,” a second No. 1 hit that topped the charts before the group departed for Columbia Records in 1977. They have won numerous music industry awards, including four songs inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, several BMI and ASCAP Songwriters’ Awards, and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.
Now, after years of individual pursuits and solo endeavors, a fabulous group of entertainers—hand-selected by founding Miracles member Claudette Robinson—have reunited to bring back timeless Miracles melodies and electrifying performances. With former NFL superstar Sydney Justin as lead vocalist (whose singing style is a cross between Smokey Robinson and Marvin Gaye) and his fellow Miracles Kerry Justin (Sydney’s brother and former Seattle Seahawks defensive back), Cordell Conway, and Eric Swindell, fans can expect an unforgettable evening as The Miracles deliver hit after hit, showcasing their unmatched talent and camaraderie.
The nationwide tour is a celebration of music, nostalgia, and enduring legacy. Audiences will have the opportunity to experience the soulful harmonies and infectious energy that have made The Miracles a household name for more than six decades. “The music of Motown has a special place in people’s hearts, and we can’t wait to share the magic of The Miracles once again,” Sydney Justin said.
