about this event
Scottsdale Performing Arts Center will present Broadway Fright Night, a celebration of songs from Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals with supernatural, horror, and sci-fi themes. Created and hosted by Stephen DeAngelis, a New York City casting director, the show will feature five of Broadways’s finest vocalists paying homage to the theatre world’s most original, intriguing, and terrifying characters in an all-new concert. In addition to recreating some of their most memorable musical moments, the cast will share backstage behind-the-scenes anecdotes and participate in an enlightening and entertaining question and answer session with our audience.
The performance will feature song selections from The Phantom of the Opera; Wicked; Young Frankenstein; Sweeney Todd; The Hunchback of Notre Dame; The Rocky Horror Show; Into the Woods; Bat Out of Hell; Big Fish; The Addams Family; Bat Boy, and It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Superman. Shrek; Beetlejuice; Dance of the Vampires; Little Shop of Horrors; Jekyll and Hyde; Carrie and Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark
Scheduled performers are Ben Crawford (The Phantom of the Opera; Les Misérables; Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, Shrek the Musical, Big Fish, and On the Twentieth Century), Alicia Irving (Les Misérables; Sunset Boulevard; The Scarlet Pimpernel; Side Show; Sweeney Todd; Carrie) and Justin Matthew Sargent (Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark; Rock of Ages; Bonnie and Clyde; The Rocky Horror Show), and Mariand Torres (Wicked; In Transit; Prince of Broadway; Spamalot).
