About the Event

Capitol Comedy is a performance group that uses the winning formula of musical comedy, political satire, and multimedia animation to engage audiences with hilarious, insightful, and nonpartisan entertainment. The six-person cast combines parodies and original compositions to create a lively musical multimedia program. Audiences will delight in new lyrics to old standards such as “Camelot” (“Kamala”), “Seventy-Six Trombones” (“Seventy-Six Skin Tones In My Cabinet”), and “When the Saints Go Marching In” (“When Those Souls Go To the Polls”).

The show is continually in revision to remain contemporary and reflect today’s political headlines. Additionally, the performance includes a recurring “Weekend Update”-inspired segment that draws humor from late-breaking news, funny photos, and interviews with eccentric personalities.
