The program features Sandwich on vocals, Mike Smith on piano, Tommy Eggleston on bass and guitar, and Ron Skoog on drums.
Artist Bios
Jan Sandwich (vocals) has been a professional entertainer her entire life. She’s acted in movies, television, and live theatre; provided voice talent for hundreds of radio commercials; and performed standup comedy in major clubs. She’s worked with musical combinations that range from a single keyboardist to a 22-piece orchestra, but her first love has always been jazz.
Mike Smith (keyboards, vocals) has performed throughout the Northeast and the Southwest in various bands, tribute shows, and dueling pianos. Smith composed and performed piano music for the documentary North Town, which has been featured in film festivals around the country and can be streamed on Amazon. Most recently, Smith teamed up with Thomas J. Ali of Aliway Productions to become co-producer and musical director for the stage shows Timeless and Timeless Memories.
Tommy Eggleston (bass, guitar) is a Phoenix native who has played as a professional musician for more than 40 years. His love of music began at age 5 when he learned violin, later adding other string instruments like guitar, electric and upright bass, and mandolin. No matter his role, singing band leader or sideman, Eggleston brings great energy and skill to rock ‘n’ roll, country, jazz, and many more genres.
Ron Skoog (drums) has been a drummer since the age of 10. Skoog performed in gigs including originals and covers of classic rock, pop, ska, reggae, country, and R&B/blues, as well as a regular worship participation in contemporary Christian music. Since moving to Phoenix in 2007, Skoog further spread his focus to Latin rock and flamenco while playing a yearlong residency with Ricardo Griego at the Hyatt Gainey Ranch. Skoog played regularly as a founding member of Phoenician Blend and the Tommy Eggleston trio, along with Mike Smith and other local musicians.
