About the Performers
Smokestack Lightning is a band beyond the powers of one person. It takes all four of these men of action to bring out the gut-wrenching blues and restless rock ’n’ roll to the masses of music lovers everywhere. Since they banded together in late 2009, they’ve taken cues from their blues and rock forebears to form an unmistakable sound of pain, triumph, loneliness and joy. The artists of this tuneful outfit are professionals of music and life. Bassist Mark Leos and drummer Pat Antone hold up the groove like twin Atlases, supporting Smokestack Lightning’s world of rhythm and tempo. Guitarist Rik Leos and harmonica player Robert Jackson are like two burglars creeping onto the stage and stealing applause like priceless jewels from a safe.
Stanley Serrano’s debut, La Razon showcased his exceptional musicianship and solidified his position as an artist with immense potential and talent. His musical odyssey led him to serve as the music director and bass player for acclaimed Latin Billboard nominee, Latin Grammy nominee, and Premio Lo Nuestro nominee Tercer Cielo, with his artistry elevate the sound on multiple albums. After a fulfilling 16-year tenure as a dedicated sideman, Serrano found himself drawn back to his roots, rekindling his passion for singing on the Phoenix scene, captivating audiences with his enchanting covers and charismatic performances. An unwavering dedication to his craft, combined with his diverse musical experiences, has solidified Serrano’s place as a respected and esteemed artist in the music industry.
