About the Event
Part two of The SunPunchers’ four-part residency at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts is The Beast Nostalgia, exploring the powerful pull of memory, grief, and renewal.
Explore themes of love, grief, nostalgia, imposter syndrome, and revenge with the SunPunchers. The group presents a series of original music, updated and twisted traditional songs of Amerikinda music, storytelling, and tender audience participation, including some of the most talented special guests around. Watch out as they kiss you on the forehead then slap you in the face (artistically).
The SunPunchers
The SunPunchers deliver a signature desert roots sound that is grounded in Americana but not afraid of a little genre-bending. Featuring Lindsay Cates on bass, Dominic Armstrong on drums/percussion, Betsy Ganz on guitar and lead vocals, Jon Rauhouse on pedal steel, and Serena Fonze on keys, sax, and vocals, The SunPunchers have been lucky to share the stage with many good friends in local bands, including Fatigo, The Blood Feud Family Singers, Jim Bachmann, and Mr. Mudd and Mr. Gold, and with national acts, including Sturgill Simpson, Gil Landry, Courtney Marie Andrews, Little Hurricane, and The Black Lillies.
